Mcp and stay at home mums

Disclaimer: I'm not trying to claim credits I'm trying to vent or "open" singaporean's Mcp or old generation mindset.. I'm not trying to show off for your information.

Being a sahm is not an easy job. I have been a sahm for the past 2yrs+ and with literally no help. Going out for 1 hour alone with my husband for dinner is also impossible.

I spoke to a open minded male friend and we talked all about being a mum. Being a mum is a hard enough job because you are your child's role model, you have to do the right things for them to learn the right things.

We see kids flying all around the library making a din. Why? Because their mums didn't care about setting the right behavior and the appropriate behavior to behave at certain places.

And now to the main topic, a stay at home mum. A taboo to the society is getting the husbands to help. Just being a housewife means that you need to be a superwife literally! You have to run on energizer or ever ready.

Almost never have a rest.. Even toys get turned off for hours or days sometimes but not you!

What most of our supreme local guys are expecting from housewife:
-serve them like king after work
(you see, they work 8hours a day and they get breaks of 30mins to 1hour once or twice a day and they are tired.

But you need to moniter the kids 24/7 and they expect you to use your rest time for housework.

Where is your rest time then?you need to sleep at 12pm and wake at 8am. Less than 8hours of sleep everyday and they are tired out with breaks interval unlike you whom didn't have

Oh and have I added? During their breaks they can take their time to eat. And you have to gobble your food because ur child might wake up anytime!)

-you must take care of kids and housework totally just because they give you allowance.
(let's face the truth guys, most of the measy allowance pay goes to the household and the kids. Only a little amount is left for the mum. Yet they expect you to work like a energizer.

If they are humans and need to rest. Is sahm not a human too? And is paying a 24hrs nanny+cleaner this amount too? You sure?)

-they refuse to help with house hold chores just because it's your job as a housewife.
(as above, rest time changed to housework time.do they really care if their partners are "over exerting " themselves?

Or do they only think for themselves.. A food for thought)

Some may say you can do while baby sleep.. Well isn't that changing rest time for housework? Is sahm really not a human but a robot? Same routine everyday? Even a robot will malfunction or even spoil. What about a human?

Well I don't know how long people take to do housework but I tries before packing and housework at the same time.8 hours non stop caring for the kids plus housework at the same time.

And for normal house work chores takes more than 2hours and i do hope that man will appreciate their wives more and not treat them worst than a robot.

Wives also have feelings and will fall ill, please take care of them and treasure them because they are noble to be a sahm as it's not a easy job.

Quoting a sentence from my guy friend
"for a mum, they are more than just an woman"
